Stan Question:
1. Video: If they use any video in their concept prototypes can they just pull it from any resource? Like YouTube?
Or would you prefer another route?
Scot: For video they can pull from YouTube but I will add Lea Ann, Andrea and Kelly if they have another idea.
Stan Question:
2. Images: Where might they find more photos of talent on HLN? I know these will be just placeholders.
Scot: Andrea will help you get images….we have tons of them.
Stan Question:
3. Statistics: Possible ratings for shows on HLN throughout the day. Like Nielsen ratings?
Which shows are the highest rated ones on HLN?
Scot: Highest rated shows are Nancy Grace (8p), Dr Drew (9p), Morning Express with Robin Meade (6a-Noon), Weekend Express with Natasha Curry (6a-Noon weekends)
Our daytime ratings right now are very soft and our website is expected to work really hard to convince people that STUFF IS HAPPENING RIGHT NOW and they can connect to that on television too at HLN
Stan Question:
4. I have a team who wants to calculate how many times during 2011 that certain topics have come up.
They are currently looking at CNN's Pulse service that counts Facebook mentions and Diggs.com that
only lets users backtrack up to a year even though in the past. Twitter mentions counting the number of how many times a specific hash tag was mentioned in tweets.
Is there a more accurate and reliable resource for them for counting the number of times stories have been mentioned on HLN?
Scot: Our daytime ratings right now are very soft and our website is expected to work really hard to convince people that STUFF IS HAPPENING RIGHT NOW and they can connect to that on television too at HLN. I Will defer to Lea Ann on your last question….there are some other sources I believe. Would not limit myself to how frequently stuff is coming up on just CNN (CNN doesn’t do a lot of the water cooler news we specialize in so looking at how it plays on that brand might not be the best indicator of the overall interest in those stories—they do great on CNN but CNN tends to bury them!)
