Preliminary Schedule for Advertising Clients: About to get real busy.

I wanted to send you the itinerary for the Advertising class for the next few weeks so you can prepare your work for CNN HLN and MODA and Follett Marketing Genius Competition. There is a lot to comprehend so please read through this itinerary carefully.

TUESDAY SEPTEMBER 20TH;
No Class. Unfortunately your class will not meet on Tuesday September 29th due to the Annual Convocation for the School of Art and Design. I've been asked to instruct everyone to attend the Convocation on Tuesday, September 20th. This Convocation is the only time during the year that students, faculty and administration come together for introductions and announcements. Each of you should attend. The new Dean of the School of Arts & Sciences will be there as many of your fellow classmates. After the Convocation is over around 12:30p new students who are interested in the graphic design program will meet with Liz, Paige and myself in 468. (This doesn't apply to you.)

THURSDAY SEPTEMBER 22ND:

ATTN: The Design Teams you are currently working with will also be the team you work on the Follett Marketing Genius Competition. EVERYONE MUST REGISTER ON THIS DAY FOR THE FOLLET MARKETING GENIUS COMPETITION REGISTRATION ON THIS DAY.
How to enter:
Team/Individual Participation
-Fill out the Participation Form at www.follettsmarketinggenius.com by September 30, 2011.
-If entering as a team, you must provide a team name upon registration. However, to ensure unbiased judging, team names should NOT include anything that references the university/college or names of the team members.
-Please be sure and provide current and frequently checked contact information. This will allow us to communicate with you throughout the competition with important information and contest updates. This information will also be utilized to contact teams that are chosen to advance to the presentation rounds of the competition.

Back to the HLN Project: Each Design Group will have 10 minutes to discuss and "show and tell" to the rest of the group their ideas/concepts for the HLN project.
Please come prepared with your up-to-date creative brief and visuals. This is where the "rubber hits the road" with regards to solidifying your
concepts. Designers from the other groups will ask questions to the various design teams about their concepts and how they plan to implement their ideas to completion. Come prepared. Everyone in class.

TUESDAY SEPTEMBER 27TH:
