WHO? WHAT? WHEN? WHERE? HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?

Questions that need to be answered by designers when working with a client on a project.
Advertising is not a business of being vague. It is instructional, informational, and should not only create an appetite but feed the public. If you advertise a product or an idea then you cannot afford to have the viewer walk away without knowing what it was you were advertising. It's always been said that if you answer 3 of the 5 questions above then you have been successful at your job.

Lots of funny commercials on television now but how many of you remember what the product was they were advertising? Longevity. Consistency. Uniqueness. Clever.

There are few, if any, subtleties in advertising. Instead it is mostly a bang over the head to get your attention.

Answer this: Are all the print ads below done in the same year? Did all of them win the gold award in advertising? What is consistent about each ad? How will they stand up over time as an advertisement for their client?
